The ferry Herjólfur sails from Landeyjahöfn that is located on the south coast of Iceland. You can get there in a car or by a bus. The bus goes from Reykjavík in BSI terminal to Landeyjahöfn. It takes about 1.45 min. to drive from Reykajavík. Here is some more information about the bus. For this tour, you have to take the 9.45 ferry from Landeyjahöfn. The sail only takes about 35 min.  If you are in your own car it´s easy to leave it in Landeyjarhöfn and pick it up when you return.

When you arrive in Westman Islands we will meet you and give to you your plan and we will go over it and help you get started.   If there are any questions or something happens we will be there for you to help you.

The Puffin and Volcano Tour is a very popular tour. It takes you around the island and tells you about our history and locals. Visit unique natural places and visit some puffins. In this tour, you will go to Stórhöfði (the windiest place in Europe) to see our amazing puffin colony. You will go to Herjólfdalur and see the famous elephant rock, drive in the middle of the volcano where the eruption started. They provide an excellent, local and personal service and only use minibus on the tour.

At 13.00 you have time for lunch. It’s not included in the tour, so you can choose what your heart desires. There are so many great restaurants to choose from in Westman Islands. They are known for their freshness and good service.  We recommend that you choose a place that is rather close to the harbour.

The Ribsafari tour is a terrific trip sailing around the islands, you will get to know the island like never before. During this trip, we will sail with you to the most popular islands in our archipelago. You get the opportunity to see the wonderful birdlife and caves.

After the boat ride, you´ll have a free time to do what you want to. If you want to walk through the cute centre of town and look into some local stores or if you want to go to some of the other museums like Eldheimar or the great folk museum on the island is just up to you.
