Gott restaurant is located in the centre of town. It specialises in fresh and healthy courses. It’s a family-owned restaurant that uses only authentic ingredients. Everything is made from scratch at the restaurant and the fish is brought fresh from the fish market every morning. The head chef Sigurður Gíslasonis a former member of the Icelandic culinary team. His wife has published two best-selling cookbooks in Iceland.
Fiskibarinn ( the fish bar) is located in the centre of town. They specialise in fresh fish and variety of fish. You can sit at the restaurant and choose your dish or you can choose fish to take to your home. If you don’t want fish they have all kinds of other great courses. Fiskibarinn is run by the local couple Sæunn and Jónas.
The restaurant Einsi Kaldi is located on the ground floor of Hotel Vestmannaeyjar in a building with a long and remarkable history. The restaurant has been open since 20011. The chef Einar Björn Árnason and his staff have a great reputation for intuitive cooking and excellent service. The restaurant specializes in preparing exotic dishes from products that are originated from and around the fishing grounds of the islands.
